Ionic Straightening - Thermal Reconditioning

Thermal Reconditioning is a revolutionary Japanese straightening treatment that uses heat to restructure the bonds in your hair so the hair lies straight, giving you glossy, smooth, shiny, straight hair that requires hardly any blow drying!

Thermal Reconditioning originated in Japan and has been practiced in Australia for just over three years. The treatment has been featured in just about every fashion magazine in Australia.

The process produces stunning results that can last from six to ten months. Even better, whatever hair is treated will stay straight permanently and only the re-growth needs touching up!

Pierre Haddad Hair Management provides Thermal Reconditioning from $300

Chemical Straightening

The principle used in chemical hair straightening is the reverse of that of permanent waving. The chemical bonds of the hair are broken down and then the hair is straightened.

The solution used to break the chemical hair bonds contains sodium hydroxide. this chemical causes the hair to swell and induces breakage and alteration of the chemical bonds in the hair fibres. Fibres straighten very quickly under the tension of combing.

Due to the harsh nature of the chemicals used, it is essential to provide follow-up care. This includes successive applications of moisturisers, curl activators, and oil sheen that saturate the hair and scalp.
